.TRAVEL: Important Updates

Please take note of the following important updates for .TRAVEL domains.

• As .TRAVEL ownerchanges (trades) no longer trigger a renewal of the domain, we do not charge a renewal fee for ownerchanges. Ownerchanges are now free of charge.
• .TRAVEL UIN (Unique Identification Number) Phaseout:
  • Effective August 1, 2018, the X-TRAVEL-UIN flag used in transfer requests, renewals, and domain trades (owner changes) for .TRAVEL domain names will be no longer required. 
  • For new registrations, a new flag, X-TRAVEL-INDUSTRY, will be introduced on August 1st 2018. This flag will require registrants of new .TRAVEL domains to agree to the following terms: Domain registrations in .TRAVEL are meant for all people or businesses engaged in all things travel related. By proceeding with this registration, the registrants acknowledges that they are engaged in or plan to engage in activities related to travel. This new flag will not be required for renewals, transfers, nor trades.
  • API users are encouraged to switch to the new X-TRAVEL-INDUSTRY agreement flag as the X-TRAVEL-UIN flag will be phased out entirely in September 2018. After that date, the X-TRAVEL-INDUSTRY flag will be required for all new registrations. Until then, either flag may be used. Price Increase for .PW and .SPACE TLDs - August 21, 2018

Please note that Radix is increasing the price for .PW and .SPACE domains effective August 21, 2018. This price increase will only apply to new registrations, renewals and transfers from the effective date. Impact on existing domains: all domains registered before August 21, 2018 (16:00 UTC) will be grandfathered through and will continue to renew at the current price listed in your account until they are deleted.

  • GMO Registry will be adding 20,000 names to its premium tiers from it previously reserved inventory on August 2, 2018. As well, many names already available in premium tiers will be reduced in price. There are no price increases. The registry is also making some slight changes to its current premium tiers, removing the two most expensive tiers. Please check your account pricing schedule August 2, 2018 for a complete listing.
